Cyanotype Print Workshop

Event Description

Calling all curious scientists and artists! This summer, dive into the magical world of cyanotypes at this fun-filled workshop, where you can learn the exciting art of cyanotype photography. Using the power of the sun and special blueprints, you'll create stunning images and watch them come to life right before your eyes! The prints are created via a chemical reaction that occurs when sunlight reacts with the specially treated paper. Kids can create stunning detailed prints of leaves, flowers, and other treasures from nature and beyond in this safe and fun activity.

No experience needed—just bring your imagination and let the sunshine do the rest. All materials will be provided, and you'll get to take home your very own beautiful blue masterpieces. We can't wait to see you there for a sunny day of making art with nature!

Notes & Requirements

Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult who remains in the library for the duration of the program. Please note that all Summer School Holiday Program events open for bookings on 9 December at 10am. This is to ensure people without digital access have an opportunity to book. These events are in high demand, so if you are no longer able to attend, please cancel the ticket online or with library staff.
