Event Description

Stay back after our Preschool Storytime to join in the fun of launching a brand new picture book, "I Am NOT an Owl", with the author, Rhonda Ooi, and the illustrator, Mel Corrigan!

Alexander can pounce like a possum and tell you all about Tasmanian devils.
But the most important thing he knows is… nocturnal animals are asleep when he is awake.
So why is Mummy insisting he sleep in the day when she knows he is NOT nocturnal?

Rhonda Ooi is an author and primary school teacher with a Master of Gifted Education. She lives in Melbourne and when she’s not working out how to fit more picture books on her bookshelf, she is imagining stories, inspired by the children in her life.

Mel Corrigan is an illustrator with an architect-trained eye for detail. She is passionate about capturing the playfulness and imagination of children. Mel, also from Melbourne, finds inspiration in the little things — the everyday joys and interactions that colour our days.

Copies of the books will be available for sale on the day.
