Event Description

Join us at Brighton library as we celebrate NAIDOC week with Living Culture, a First Nation owned organisation providing Cultural, Environmental, Educational and Holistic Healing programs to the community.

Guided by Skyla and Hudson, children will learn about traditional bush tucker and medicinal plants.

Skyla is a Gunditjmara Kirrae Wurrung-Bundjalung woman, who was born and raised on Boonwurrung/ Bunurong land. Hudson’s people come from the Torres Strait Islands, more specifically Thursday Island. Hudson is a qualified Horticulturalist who is undertaking the Warreeen Beek Rangers course, where they go out onto Country and work with the Bunurong Land Council & Traditional Owners.
